Six slain in Aceh violence<\/p>\n

Volunteers with the Indonesian Red Cross in Aceh have evacuated
\nsix casualties bearing gunshot wounds, including one state
\nofficial, from four different locations in the strife-torn
\nprovince, graphic evidence that violence is still rampant.<\/p>\n
The campaign for independence by the secessionist Free Aceh
\nMovement (GAM) has seen an escalation in the violence in recent
\nmonths.<\/p>\n
Two bodies were found beneath a mountainous area in the
\nvillage of Ara Bungong, subdistrict of Peudada, some 180
\nkilometers east of Banda Aceh. They were identified as Syamaun
\nMadjid, 35, and Zulmahdi Yahya, 30.<\/p>\n
Two other bodies were found in the village of Mon Kelayu,
\nsubdistrict of Gandapura, some 230 kilometers east of Banda Aceh,
\nthe capital city.<\/p>\n
They were identified as Amri Yusuf, 23, and Junaidi, 22.<\/p>\n
A Red cross volunteer Azhari from the regency of Bireun said
\nthat he and other volunteers had transported those bodies to the
\nBireun hospital.<\/p>\n
Separately, Red Cross volunteers in South Aceh on Wednesday
\nalso evacuated one body found near a road in the Gunung Kerambil
\narea, subdistrict of Tapaktuan, about 500 kilometers southeast of
\nBanda Aceh, and was evacuated to the Yulidin Away hospital in
\nTapaktuan.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, volunteers also evacuated Ridwan Abdullah, 43, an
\nofficial with the Aceh education office from the Alue Gantong
\nvillage, subdistrict of Seulimun, about 50 kilometers east of
\nBanda Aceh.<\/p>\n
