Within just three days\nof its formation, the task force has successfully arrested eight\nsuspects.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTonight, our Robbery Task Force has, Alhamdulillah, secured eight\nsuspects involved in acts of theft with violence, as we have seen go\nviral within the Metro Jaya Police jurisdiction recently,\u201d stated the\nDirector of General Criminal Investigation of Metro Jaya Police, Kombes\nIman Imanuddin, on Monday (1_May_2026).<\/p>\n<p>The perpetrators operated in several locations, including Bundaran\nHI, Patung Kuda, Kebon Jeruk, Cideng, and Gandaria. Iman noted that\nvideos of these incidents had been circulating widely on social\nmedia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor several crime scenes that recently went viral, we have arrested\nsome of the perpetrators tonight,\u201d he said. Other suspects remain under\npursuit by investigators. Iman stated that the suspects will face\ncharges under Articles 466, 471, 477, and 479 of the Criminal Code\n(KUHP).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are promptly following up on all information available on social\nmedia, and we are striving to the utmost to ensure a sense of security\nfor the people of Jakarta,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Komjen Asep Edi\nSuheri, confirmed that the Robbery Task Force has resolved six robbery\ncases in DKI Jakarta, noting that these incidents have been a primary\nfocus for the police.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe formation of the Robbery Task Force is a direct response to the\nattention required by Metro Jaya Police regarding these cases. I can\nconfirm that we have already resolved six cases,\u201d Komjen Asep told\njournalists at Jakarta City Hall, Central Jakarta, on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Komjen Asep has ordered police units to take firm action against\nrobbery perpetrators, instructing officers not to hesitate in acting in\naccordance with Police Regulation (Perkap) No.\u00a01 of 2009 regarding the\nUse of Force in Policing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have instructed all ranks within the Metro Jaya Police to take\ndecisive action against criminals who endanger the lives of police\nofficers. Do not hesitate to take firm and measured action in accordance\nwith the regulations of Perkap Number 1 of 2009,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>Komjen Asep also urged the public to report any information regarding\nrobberies by calling the National Police call centre at 110.<\/p>",
