        "content": "<p>Six parties unite for 2004 election<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Six nationalist based political parties have joined<br>\nforces to boost their chances in the 2004 general election, with<br>\nthe forming of the Indonesian Nationalist Alliance Party (PANI)<br>\non Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The six parties are the Democratic Nationalist Party (PND),<br>\nthe Gotong Royong Conference Party, the Indonesian Democracy<br>\nAlliance Party, the Murba Party, the Indonesian Labor Party, and<br>\nthe Indonesian People&apos;s Party.<\/p>\n<p>PDN chairman Edwin Henawan Sukowowati said that PANI hoped to<br>\nsecure a three percent electoral threshold, one percentage point<br>\nabove the minimum electoral threshold required under the law to<br>\nparticipate in subsequent general elections.<\/p>\n<p>He said two other parties, the Indonesian Nationalist Party<br>\nand the Indonesian National Labour Party (PNBI), were expected to<br>\njoin PANI later. -- Antara<\/p>",
