        "content": "<p>Six Pakistanis to be deported<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian government plans to deport six<br>\nPakistanis back to their country on Saturday for entering the<br>\ncountry using expired travel documents, an immigration official<br>\nhas said.<\/p>\n<p>Director of Immigration Supervision and Operations Muhammad<br>\nIndra said in a statement that the six foreigners were arrested<br>\nearlier this month during a raid in Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>The raid, he said, was conducted after an executive of CV Indo<br>\nSaipan, which sponsored the visits of the Pakistanis, informed<br>\nimmigration officials that the company had revoked its<br>\nsponsorship of one of the foreigners, identified as Naeem Ahmad<br>\nTaher.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the tip-off, some of the officials, Indra said,<br>\nrushed to Jl. Kebon Jeruk in Central Jakarta to trace Naem but<br>\nlater learned that he had left the area.<\/p>\n<p>But the officials did not leave empty-handed as they were told<br>\nby locals that they should go to a place on Jl. Kebahagiaan.<\/p>\n<p>After arriving there, the immigration personnel nabbed the<br>\nfour Pakistanis with their stay permits, which had already<br>\nexpired.<\/p>\n<p>The following day, the officials netted two other Pakistanis<br>\nin the same place for a similar violation.<\/p>\n<p>During questioning, the six foreigners admitted to entering<br>\nIndonesia without really knowing who their sponsor was.<\/p>\n<p>\"They only knew someone in Singapore, to whom they each paid<br>\nUS$120. That person contacted CV Indo Saipan,\" immigration office<br>\nspokesman Mursanuddin Ghani said.<\/p>\n<p>\"They (the Pakistanis) are currently at Immigration Quarantine<br>\nin Kalideres, West Jakarta. They will leave this Saturday if the<br>\nprocess (of their deportation) is completed,\" he added. (01)<\/p>",
