        "content": "<p>Semarang (ANTARA) - The Central Java provincial government predicts\nthat the number of tourists during the 2026 Eid holiday will reach\naround six million people visiting various tourist and entertainment\ndestinations in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Central Java Provincial Culture, Tourism, and Creative\nEconomy Office, Hanung Triyono, in Semarang on Wednesday, stated that\nthis figure poses a challenge as well as an opportunity for the local\ntourism sector.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAround six million people will go on holiday. This is a large\nnumber, so comfort and security must be thoroughly ensured,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the number of tourists is inseparable from the high\nflow of people returning home this year, estimated at around 17.3\nmillion returning to their hometowns in Central Java.<\/p>\n<p>Anticipatory measures, he said, include tightening security,\nenhancing services, and ensuring the readiness of facilities at all\ntourist sites.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that his office has undertaken various preparations, from\ncoordinating with district\/city governments, destination managers, to\nrelated agencies.<\/p>\n<p>The main focus is on facility readiness, security systems, and\nservices for tourists.<\/p>\n<p>Several destinations are predicted to be the main attractions during\nthe Eid holiday, such as Tawangmangu in Karanganyar, Sheikh Zayed Mosque\nin Surakarta, and Gajah Mungkur Reservoir in Wonogiri for the Solo Raya\narea.<\/p>\n<p>The Dieng area in Wonosobo is also expected to be crowded, especially\nwith the hot air balloon attractions that are a unique draw during Eid.\nReligious destinations in Demak and Kudus are predicted to be thronged\nwith pilgrims.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, southern Central Java coastal tourist areas, such as in\nKebumen, Purworejo, and Wonogiri, are receiving special attention due to\npotential rainy weather and strong winds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have coordinated with the Eid command post and related agencies,\nparticularly for security in coastal areas,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Not only flagship destinations, rural tourism villages are also\npredicted to be a favourite choice for family holidays. Managers are\nurged to ensure cleanliness, security, and readiness of supporting\nfacilities.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the management of Guci Forest tourist destination\nin Tegal Regency has expressed readiness to face the surge in visitors,\nas stated by Guci Forest Marketing Manager, Umi Baini.<\/p>\n<p>A variety of rides have been prepared, from hotels, villas, glamping,\ncamping areas, hot spring baths, to off-road jeep tours.<\/p>\n<p>Improvements have also been made to the parking area, bathing pools,\nand installation of warning signs in hazardous areas.<\/p>\n<p>During the Eid holiday, Umi estimates that Guci Forest will be\nvisited by around 4,000 tourists per day for nearly a week.<\/p>",
