Six killed by diarrhea<\/p>\n
KUPANG: Six people have died of diarrhea and another of
\ndengue fever when disease hit this East Nusatenggara province
\nearly January.<\/p>\n
Unconfirmed reports from the East Sumba regency said that two
\nout of the 22 people attacked by diarrhea have died. But head of
\nthe provincial health office Dr. Agus Y. Berek said as of this
\nweekend he had not received any more news of the outbreak from
\nthe local health office.
\nIn Kupang regency 50 people are suffering from dengue fever
\nand of them one has died. On Rotte island 44 people are suffering
\nfrom the fever, Antara said.
\nDr. Agus said that his office has dispatched a medical team to
\nRotte to help the local health office in their efforts to
\nalleviate the suffering of the people. (tis)<\/p>",
