The damaged\nproperties include a copra warehouse, two business premises (a\nmotorcycle wash and a barbershop), and three residents\u2019 houses.\n\u2018Material losses from the incident are still being tallied by\nauthorities together with the village government,\u2019 said Flores Timur\nPolice Chief AKBP Adhitya Octorio Putra on Friday, 6 March 2026. Adhitya\nsaid the Flores Timur Police seized a number of weapons used in the\nclash. Items recovered include slingshots, arrows, machettes, and\nseveral improvised devices believed to have been used as stun devices.\nThe Flores Timur Police, he added, immediately deployed to the scene to\ncontrol the situation and prevent the conflict from spreading. Officers\nfrom Flores Timur Police, together with Adonara Timur Police Sector,\nwent to the scene to secure the area and to engage in persuasive\noutreach to ensure the situation remained conducive. Security measures\nare now being stepped up with personnel stationed at several vulnerable\npoints to deter the movement of crowds from both sides. In addition,\nFlores Timur Police are engaging in intensive dialogue with traditional\nleaders, community figures, and village authorities to defuse tensions.\n\u2018We prioritise a humane approach by involving traditional leaders and\ncommunity figures so that this matter can be resolved through\ndeliberation,\u2019 Adhitya said. He urged all residents to exercise\nrestraint and refrain from actions that could worsen the situation. He\nsaid the police, together with the local government, remain committed to\nfacilitating dialogue between the two sides to seek a fair solution and\nmaintain security in Adonara Timur. \u2018We urge all residents to maintain\nsecurity and order. Leave the resolution of this matter to authorities\nand local government through dialogue and deliberation,\u2019 Adhitya said.\nHead of Public Relations Section of Flores Timur Police, AKP Eliezer A\nKalelado, said a number of joint TNI-Polri personnel have been deployed\nto secure the inter-village clashes in Adonara Timur. Police and the\nIndonesian Army (TNI) remain stationed there. \u201830 officers from the\nFlores Timur Police shifted to secure Adonara Timur Police Sector and 32\nBrimob personnel deployed from Sikka under BKO,\u2019 Eliezer said when\ncontacted by detikBali. Commander of the 02\/Adonara Military District\n(Danramil), Captain Inf Paulus Ibi Weking, said the TNI have deployed\naround 45 personnel to secure the clashes. \u2018At present, we have around\n45 personnel from Koramil 02\/Adonara with support from Makodim\n1624\/Flotim,\u2019 Paulus stated.
