        "content": "<p>Situbondo (ANTARA) - The Situbondo Regency government, East Java,\nestablished a public kitchen in the aftermath of flash floods that swept\naway thousands of homes and public facilities, on Sunday. On Saturday\nnight (7 March), river overflow floods occurred in six districts:\nBanyuglugur, with two villages affected: Kalianget and Banyuglugur\nvillages. In Besuki District, five villages were affected: Kalianget,\nBesuki, Kalimas, Bloro and Pesisir. In Jatibanteng District, two\nvillages affected: Jatibanteng and Wringin Anom. In Mlandingan District\ntwo villages: Selomukti and Sumberpinang, and one village in Bungatan\nDistrict: Bungatan, and in Kendit District two villages: Klatakan and\nKendit. \u2018We established a public kitchen at the Besuki District Office,\nproviding ready-to-eat meals for thousands of residents affected by the\nfloods in Besuki and Banyuglugur Districts,\u2019 said Acting Head of the\nSocial Service, Viskanto Adi Prabowo, in Situbondo on Sunday. Viskanto\nsaid that ready-to-eat rice is greatly needed because all their utensils\nincluding stoves and cooking equipment were damaged and submerged in\nmuddy water. \u2018There is indeed rice assistance and ready meals, but what\nresidents need at the moment are cooked meals, or packed rice (nasi\nbungkus),\u2019 he said. Viskanto added that the Social Service will add one\nmore public kitchen at the Banyuglugur District Office to meet the meals\nneeds of affected residents. To date, the local BPBD continues to assess\nflood-damaged homes and damage to public facilities caused by the river\nflood in several districts.<\/p>",
