Singer's killer at large<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The police are still hunting the killer of a
\nlocal rock singer in East Jakarta.<\/p>\n
A detective from the Pulo Gadung police sub-precinct said
\nyesterday that the police believe the killer is Slamet, a known
\nhoodlum in the area.<\/p>\n
"The suspect has been involved in many car accessory thefts,"
\nhe said.<\/p>\n
According to the singer's sister, Yuniarti, the 20-year-old
\nAfrizal warned Slamet not to make trouble in the neighborhood.
\nThis apparently caused great offense.<\/p>\n
Afrizal was with two friends, identified as Jonson and Syarif,
\nwhen the incident occurred.<\/p>\n
The witnesses said Slamet stabbed Afrizal with a sickle in the
\narms and stomach. Afrizal died on the way to the Cipto
\nMangunkusumo general hospital.<\/p>\n
Yuniarti said Afrizal, who graduated from high school two
\nyears ago, had planned to register himself in the Military
\nAcademy.<\/p>\n
Afrizal, a resident of Jl. Kebon Nangka, east Jakarta, had
\nmade money from singing in a local rock band. (04)<\/p>",
