Jakarta DPRD member Bebizie Sri Mulyati explained her singing fee\nduring examination by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) as a\nwitness in the alleged gratuity case related to coal production that has\nensnared former Kutai Kartanegara Regent Rita Widyasari.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, because there was a payment transaction, I was summoned\nregarding that, and God willing it has been accounted for because I was\nindeed a singer before,\u201d said Bebizie after undergoing examination at\nthe KPK\u2019s Red and White Building in Jakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n
She explained that the singing fee was earned professionally after\nperforming at a number of events in East Kalimantan.<\/p>\n
\u201cI explained that in 2017\u20132018 I sang several times in East\nKalimantan. There was a company that invited me,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Therefore, she said the KPK summoned and examined her as a witness\ntoday.<\/p>\n
The case began when the KPK named Kutai Kartanegara Regent Rita\nWidyasari, President Director of PT Sawit Golden Prima Hery Susanto Gun,\nand Commissioner of PT Media Bangun Bersama Khairudin as suspects in an\nalleged gratuity case on 28 September 2017.<\/p>\n
In that case, Rita allegedly received gratuities related to the\ngranting of a palm oil plantation location permit to PT Sawit Golden\nPrima in Kupang Baru Village, Muara Kaman District, Kutai Kartanegara\nRegency.<\/p>\n
The KPK then developed the case, and on 16 January 2018 named Rita\nand Khairudin as suspects in an alleged money laundering case.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, on 19 February 2025, the KPK revealed allegations of\nfund flows received by Rita from the coal mining sector worth\napproximately 5 US dollars per metric tonne of coal.<\/p>\n
