        "content": "<p>Singapore, Turkish firms to team up<\/p>\n<p>SINGAPORE: A Singapore company has teamed up with a Turkish<br>\nautomaker to develop and market armored vehicles for Turkey's<br>\narmed forces, the firms said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Singapore Technologies Kinetics and Otokar were set to sign<br>\ntwo cooperation agreements at a defense, aerospace and maritime<br>\nshow in Ankara.<\/p>\n<p>The companies will collaborate on the design and manufacture<br>\nof the second \"Terrex 8x8\" vehicle prototype, said ST Kinetics.<\/p>\n<p>The first prototype, developed by ST Kinetics, carries up to<br>\n11 tons while providing full nuclear, biological and chemical<br>\nprotection.<\/p>\n<p>The second will be able to withstand rough terrain and harsh<br>\nclimatic conditions.
