Head of the Singapore Committee at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) Iwan Darmawan Hanafi explained that the delegations\u2019 visit may add to Singapore\u2019s investment in Indonesia up to three to five percent.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe delegations will focus on Balikpapan of East Kalimantan, and Surabaya of East Java in their visit,\u201d said Hanafi in Jakarta on Tuesday, Oct. 27.<\/p>\n
Kalimantan is seen as having the potentials concerning oil and gas investment, while the Singaporean investors aim Surabaya as the port linking them to the eastern part of Indonesia.<\/p>\n
Deputy head of Investment Promotion at the Capital Investment Coordinating Agency (BKPM) Darmawan Djajusman said Indonesia still attracts foreign investors. \u201cSingapore is the second investor. We offer the infrastructure investment to the Singaporean investors,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
