"summary": "The Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs has revealed that 504 regional heads have been implicated in corruption cases since 2005, with regents accounting for the highest number at 284 cases, followed by mayors and other officials. Central Java has contributed 41 such cases, representing about 8% of the national total, prompting evaluations of election laws to improve leadership selection processes. This underscores ongoing challenges in governance integrity and the need for stronger anti-corruption measures in regional administration.",
