Sinarmas has endowed 1,000 copies of the Quran to PP Muhammadiyah.\nThe endowment is made to support the efforts of the Muslim community to\neducate themselves towards becoming pious individuals during\nRamadan.<\/p>\n
\u201cRamadan is a valuable opportunity for us to educate ourselves by\nstrengthening our piety through Quran recitation and fasting. We hope\nthat the Quran endowment we are making can bridge our intention to\nexplore the meaning contained within it, and then to practise it,\u201d said\nSaleh Husin, Chairman of the Muslim Sinar Mas Foundation (YMSM), in a\nstatement on Saturday (1 March 2026).<\/p>\n
The presentation of the Qurans was carried out alongside APP Group\nDirector Agus Wahyudi and was presented symbolically by YMSM Board\nmember Mayerfas to the General Secretary of PP Muhammadiyah, who is also\nIndonesia\u2019s Minister of Basic and Secondary Education, Prof Abdul Mu\u2019ti\nin Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Mayerfas expressed hope that this endowment initiative\ncould strengthen each individual\u2019s personal interaction with the\nQuran.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo that activities of Quran recitation, interpreting its contents,\nand then applying it in daily life will occur holistically,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
All the Quran manuscripts that were endowed, with the support of PP\nMuhammadiyah, will be forwarded to various places of worship,\neducational institutions, and Islamic study circles. On Tuesday (24\nFebruary), the foundation also endowed more than 1,000 Quran manuscripts\nto PP Muhammadiyah during a gathering held at Muhammadiyah University\nTangerang (UMT) in Banten.<\/p>\n
Saleh, together with APP Group Director Agus Wahyudi, presented them\nto the Treasurer General of PP Muhammadiyah, Hilman Latief, which was\nalso witnessed by the Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah, Haedar Nashir,\ntogether with other senior leaders and thousands of PP Muhammadiyah\nstudy group participants.<\/p>\n
To date, with the support of APP Group, 1.4 million Quran manuscripts\nhave been distributed since 2008 to various remote areas of the country.\nThis activity not only involves the government, the armed forces and the\nnational police, but also works alongside religious institutions, civil\nsociety organisations, educational institutions, community leaders, and\nprofessional communities.<\/p>\n
