According to a report from the Valdai Discussion Club, China\u2019s\napproach to global tensions is not an indication of weakness, but a\nmeasured strategic step.<\/p>\n
In its analysis, the Moscow-based think tank and discussion forum\nassesses that Beijing is deliberately avoiding direct confrontation with\nthe US and instead choosing to build advantages in long-term\ncompetition.<\/p>\n
Over the past few decades, China\u2019s rise has been one of the main\nfactors shaping the global landscape. Former US Secretary of State Henry\nKissinger even once assessed that China\u2019s growing role would surpass the\nimpact of the end of the Cold War.<\/p>\n
