        "content": "<p>SIA signs new alliance<\/p>\n<p>SINGAPORE (AFP): U.S. aircraft engine manufacturer Pratt and<br>\nWhitney on Wednesday formalized an alliance with two Singaporean<br>\nfirms that will bring in advanced aerospace coating technologies<br>\ninto Asia.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of State for Trade and Industry Lim Swee Say said the<br>\nsigning of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the U.S.<br>\nfirm, SIA Engineering Co. of Singapore Airlines Ltd. and<br>\nSingapore Technologies Aerospace would enhance the city state's<br>\ngoal to become Asia's aviation repair hub.<\/p>\n<p>\"Today's MOU signing marks a milestone in the aerospace repair<br>\nand overhaul industry in Singapore,\" he said in a speech at the<br>\nsigning ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>\"The three-way joint venture will bring new and critical<br>\ncapabilities in coating in Singapore.
