The location of the fire was at Jalan Mega Grosir, Cempaka\nMas shophouse complex, Block J 7-8, RW 008, Sumur Batu Village,\nKemayoran, Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe building that caught fire was a commercial building in the form\nof a shophouse,\u201d said Triyanto in a statement on Thursday (June 4,\n2026).<\/p>\n
Triyanto explained that the fire was first noticed around 05:00 WIB.\nAt that time, security personnel who were conducting a routine patrol of\nthe area saw smoke billowing from inside the shophouse.<\/p>\n
According to him, the security personnel initially tried to\nextinguish the fire using a portable fire extinguisher by breaking the\nshophouse\u2019s glass window. However, the attempt was unsuccessful, so the\nincident was reported to the Fire and Rescue Department.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe security guard saw smoke coming from inside the shophouse. The\nsecurity guard tried to put out the fire using a fire extinguisher by\nbreaking the glass, but it didn\u2019t work, so they reported the incident to\nthe fire department,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Two fire trucks from the Serdang Post were the first to be deployed\nto the location. The first unit arrived at 05:32 WIB, and officers\nimmediately began extinguishing the fire one minute later.<\/p>\n
The fire was successfully contained at 05:50 WIB. Subsequently,\nofficers carried out a cooling process until 06:20 WIB. The fire\nhandling operation was declared complete at 07:00 WIB.<\/p>\n
A total of 14 units and 70 personnel were deployed in the operation.\nThe details consist of two units from the Serdang Post, three units from\nthe Kemayoran Sector, three units from the Cempaka Putih Sector, one\nunit from the Office of the Department, and five units from the Central\nJakarta Fire and Rescue Department.<\/p>\n
There were no casualties or injuries in the incident. The area\naffected by the fire was approximately 54 square meters.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the cause of the fire is still under investigation. The\nvalue of the losses caused by the incident is still being recorded by\nofficers.
