Shooting lesson for journalists<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The Jakarta Military Command gave journalists a
\nshooting lesson at its main regiment headquarters in Condet Raya,
\nEast Jakarta yesterday.<\/p>\n
Command spokesman Lt. Col. D.J. Nachrowi said that the lesson
\nwas aimed at increasing the journalists' knowledge about how
\nsoldiers and police officers defended themselves.<\/p>\n
\"The command gave the opportunity to journalists to recognize
\nthe kinds of guns used by the Armed Forces to maintain security
\nin the country, particularly Jakarta,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Fifteen journalists and photographers took part in the
\nexercise, during which they fired an FN-45 pistol, the Armed
\nForces' standard sidearm.<\/p>\n
\"At least we can now understand why police officers sometimes
\nmiss their targets,\" said one of the journalists. (09)<\/p>",
