On July 16, I received a letter from a company called Zwitsal
\nPT Sara Lee Body Care Indonesia stating that I was a winner in a
\npromotion called "Zwitsal Gives Away Prizes" and would therefore
\nreceive a Suzuki Shogun motorcycle as my prize.<\/p>\n
The letter was signed by Mulyawan NH, with the designation of
\n"Public Relations Zwitsal", who requested me to transfer four
\nmillion rupiah by July 20 to account number 017.090.53253.1 in
\nthe name of Hatomi at Bank Danamon (Kelapa Gading branch),
\nJakarta.<\/p>\n
The address on the letter was: Wisma Dharmala Sakti, 7th
\nfloor, Jl. Jenderal Sudirman Kav 32, Jakarta, phone No. 021-
\n5772043, along with Mulyawan NH's cellular phone number: 0817-
\n135860.<\/p>\n
As both phone numbers were difficult to contact, I finally
\ndecided to visit the above address on July 20.<\/p>\n
I was informed by Rizki Novi, a staffer in Wisma Dharmala
\nSakti's security unit, that 25 people, all from outside Jakarta,
\nhad experienced a similar fate so far, and that there was no such
\ncompany (PT Sara Lee Body Care Indonesia) in the building. I
\nimmediately realized that I had almost been deceived.<\/p>\n
Luckily, I did not transfer any money, but for my
\ntransportation (from Semarang to Jakarta) and meals etc., I spent
\nno less than Rp 200,000, not counting the valuable time that was
\nwasted.<\/p>\n
I am worried about how many others might have transferred the
\nrequested amount. Rizki Novi promised that he would report the
\ncase to the police. I hope the authorities will act fast and can
\ndetain Mulyawan NH, while Bank Danamon should immediately freeze
\nHatomi's account.<\/p>\n
To everyone else, I would urge you to please be careful of
\nsuch frauds.<\/p>\n
