        "content": "<p>'Ship ban harms Australia'<\/p>\n<p>CANBERRA (Reuter): Australian Transport Minister John Sharp<br>\nsaid yesterday union bans against Indonesian ships would harm<br>\nAustralia's trading interests and threaten jobs.<\/p>\n<p>\"The Maritime Union of Australia has again embarked on a<br>\ncourse which is harming our trading reputation overseas and<br>\nthreatening the jobs of average Australians,\" Sharp said in a<br>\nstatement.<\/p>\n<p>The union imposed rolling bans on Indonesian shipping last<br>\nWednesday to protest against the arrest of Indonesian labor<br>\nleaders Muchtar Pakpahan and Dita Sari.<\/p>\n<p>The ban was also a response to Prime Minister John Howard's<br>\nfailure to press Jakarta on human rights and democracy on his<br>\nrecent three-day visit to Indonesia, the union said.<\/p>",
