Shell provides scholarship<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Dutch oil company Shell has allocated 10 million
\npounds (US$16.5 million) in scholarship funds for students in
\ndeveloping countries, including Indonesia, who want to pursue
\nstudies in Britain.<\/p>\n
The company said in a statement on Tuesday that the fund was
\nestablished in 1997 to mark the centenary anniversary of the
\nShell Transport & Trading Company.<\/p>\n
The scholarship is provided to students wishing to study
\napplied science and technology, environmental science, business
\nmanagement or law and economics in a one-year graduate course at
\nthe University of Cambridge, the University of Durham, the
\nUniversity of Edinburgh, the Imperial College of Science,
\nTechnology and Medicine, the University of Oxford or the
\nUniversity College of London.<\/p>\n
Interested students should send their applications to one of
\nthese universities for the winter semester starting Oct. 2000.<\/p>\n
Andy Santoso from Indonesia will study computers at the
\nCambridge University under this scholarship program this year,
