The Split Bill feature can be used by scanning or uploading a photo\nof a receipt. The system then reads specific information from the\nreceipt, which users can verify before the bill is shared.<\/p>\n
Users can then select the friends participating in the split and\nassign specific items or portions of the bill to each person. Once the\nSplit Bill is created and shared, the payment status can be monitored in\nreal-time.<\/p>\n
For transactions without a receipt, users can enter the bill amount\nmanually. After entering the name and total amount, users can select the\nparticipants and determine each individual\u2019s payment amount.<\/p>\n
This process can also be used for recurring activities with the same\ngroup of people. The application can display recent groups so that users\ndo not need to repeat the member selection process when creating\nsubsequent Split Bills.<\/p>\n
In addition to receipt photos and manual input, Split Bills can be\ngenerated from various eligible ShopeePay transaction histories,\nincluding QRIS transactions, online payments, and ShopeeFood\ntransactions.<\/p>\n
The development of this feature demonstrates the evolving role of\ndigital payment services in daily life. Digital wallets are no longer\nused solely for completing payments but are also beginning to provide\nfunctions related to managing shared transactions.<\/p>\n
