        "content": "<p>Share prices higher on Jakarta Stock Exchange<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Trading on the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) was <br>\nbrighter yesterday with the broad-based Composite  Index <br>\nstrengthening to 465.28 from 461.72 on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The narrow-based GTDBS-50 Index also slightly increased to <br>\n108.45 from 107.64.<\/p>\n<p>Trading volume slightly rose to 29.95 million shares worth Rp <br>\n121.25 billion (US$56.4 million) from 28.46 million shares valued <br>\nat Rp 117.56 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday&apos;s delisting of three companies apparently did not <br>\naffect yesterday&apos;s trading, a broker said.<\/p>\n<p>The companies recording sharp increases yesterday included <br>\nAndayani Megah (+Rp 375), Barito Pacific Timber (+Rp 650), Bakrie <br>\n&amp; Brothers (+Rp 200), Ciputra Development (+Rp 200), HM Sampoerna <br>\n(+Rp 400), Goodyear Indonesia (+Rp 300), Modern Photo (+Rp 550), <br>\nand Sumalindo Lestari Jaya (+Rp 400).<\/p>\n<p>Among top loser were Bank Umum Nasional (-Rp 225), Kabel Metal <br>\nIndonesia (-Rp 400), Matahari Putra Prima (-Rp 350), Panin <br>\nInsurance (-Rp 600), Semen Gresik (-Rp 300) and Unilever <br>\nIndonesia (-Rp 1,300).<\/p>\n<p>A total of 14.31 million shares changed hands at Rp 61.33 <br>\nbillion on the regular board and 1.30 million shares at Rp 4.16 <br>\nbillion on the block sale board.<\/p>\n<p>The odd lot and cash trading boards recorded no transactions <br>\nyesterday,<\/p>\n<p>The crossing board posted trading of 13.17 million shares at <br>\nRp 52.03 billion and the foreign board 1.15 million shares at Rp <br>\n3.73 billion.
