        "content": "<p>Shangri-La wins its court case<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The Supreme Court has ruled to favor of Shangri-<br>\nLa Hotel in its termination of 75 former hotel employees who were<br>\ninvolved in a strike, illegal demonstrations and occupation of<br>\nthe hotel in December 2000.<\/p>\n<p>\"The decision was taken on Thursday and it is final,\" hotel<br>\nsenior manager Wastu Widanto told The Jakarta Post on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\"The Supreme Court has backed the previous decision of the<br>\nCentral Committee for the Settlement of Labor Disputes (P4P) on<br>\nthe termination,\" he added.<\/p>\n<p>Wastu also said the hotel management offered the 75 former<br>\nemployees compensation packages far better than required<br>\naccording to government regulations.<\/p>\n<p>\"We, however, rule out any possibility of reemploying them as<br>\nthe Supreme Court's decision backed the termination,\" he said.--<br>\nJP<\/p>",
