        "content": "<p>A shallow earthquake shook the southern region of Polewali Mandar\nRegency, West Sulawesi, on Thursday morning. The Meteorology,\nClimatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that the tremor\noccurred at 09:09 WITA with a preliminary magnitude of 4.7. Analysis by\nthe BMKG indicates the epicentre was located at sea, approximately 50\nkilometres south of Polewali Mandar, with a hypocentre at a depth of 13\nkilometres below sea level. Impact mapping shows the shaking was felt at\nan intensity of III-IV MMI in Majene Regency, Polewali Mandar, and\nPare-pare City. The vibrations were also reported at an intensity of\nII-III MMI across Sidrap Regency, Mamuju, Pangkep, Gowa, and Makassar\nCity. The BMKG stated that this parameter information is being\ndisseminated to the public to encourage increased vigilance and caution\nregarding the potential for aftershocks.<\/p>",
