        "content": "<p>A number of buildings in Bima City, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), have\nbeen reported damaged following an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7\ncentred in Nagekeo Regency on Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT),\non Saturday at 05.58 WITA.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Bima City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), A\nFaruk, confirmed that the M 7.7 earthquake was felt across Bima City,\nresulting in damage to several residential buildings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on initial data collection, one house sustained moderate\ndamage in South Rabangodu RT 03 RW 01 due to the earthquake tremors,\u201d he\nsaid in a statement from Mataram on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Damage was also reported at the Bulog warehouse, particularly to the\nwalls, which caused a number of rice sacks inside to fall. Additionally,\nceiling damage occurred at the Mutmainnah Hotel Mosque.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReports are still being compiled, and data collection and monitoring\nof the earthquake\u2019s impact are ongoing to ensure the condition of the\ncommunity and to identify any further damage or other impacts,\u201d Faruk\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Faruk stated that teams are currently coordinating with disaster\nvolunteer teams in the local sub-districts and directly inspecting the\naffected sites.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe general condition of the community remains under monitoring,\nwhile data collection and field verification continue to determine any\npossible damage or other impacts caused by the earthquake,\u201d he\nexplained.<\/p>\n<p>He added that urgent needs currently include logistical support for\naffected residents, particularly basic necessities such as ready-to-eat\nfood, mineral water, blankets, tarpaulins, mattresses, and family\nsupplies.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency material support is also required, including tarpaulins or\ntemporary covering materials to anticipate situations where damaged\nparts of houses cannot yet be safely used.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fulfilment of logistical needs will be adjusted based on\nassessment results and developments in the condition of affected\nresidents in the field,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
