        "content": "<p>Seven netted in drug raid<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The North Jakarta Police have charged an<br>\nexecutive of Hailai International Executive Club and six other<br>\npeople for possession of marijuana and Ecstasy.<\/p>\n<p>Jakarta Police Spokesman Lt. Col. Iman Haryatna told reporters<br>\nyesterday that Hendro Sumampouw, 38, the executive of one of the<br>\nlargest discotheques in town, and the other six suspects were<br>\napprehended in a predawn raid on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Police said they found 20 marijuana cigarettes, 76 Ecstasy<br>\npills and a syringe in the offenders' possession, Iman said.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report made by the North Jakarta Police, two<br>\nand a half marijuana cigarettes and seven and a half Ecstasy<br>\npills were seized from Hendro, brother of businessman and<br>\noperator of overseas casinos Robby Sumampouw.<\/p>\n<p>\"All of the suspects are currently detained at the police<br>\noffice, waiting for their dossiers to be completed,\" Iman said.<\/p>\n<p>The other six suspects were identified as businessman Wilson<br>\nSilha, 39, and private company employees Frangki Janto Tjahjadi,<br>\n28, Andhy Slamet Riyadi, 38, Leo Lumandong, 32, Alpin Castille,<br>\n27, and Yusuf Pranata, 24.<\/p>\n<p>The arrests were carried out without the knowledge of Hailai<br>\nemployees.<\/p>\n<p>\"We don't know if Pak (Mr) Hendro was arrested,\" receptionist<br>\nSuryo told The Jakarta Post yesterday evening.<\/p>\n<p>According to Iman, the raid carried out by 192 personnel from<br>\nthe North Jakarta Police department is part of a routine<br>\noperation to help reduce the number of crimes, including drug<br>\noffenses, in the city.<\/p>\n<p>\"We pledge to send all of the suspects to jail as soon as<br>\npossible,\" the spokesman said.<\/p>\n<p>If found guilty, Hendro and the six people, believed to be<br>\nvisitors at the discotheque, could face maximum imprisonment of<br>\nsix years and a maximum fine of Rp 10 million (US$4,255).<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, many alleged that the Jakarta Police might not want<br>\nto take the risk of arresting certain people who have close a<br>\nrelationship with high-ranking officials.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Jakarta Police Chief Maj.
