Seven killed in car accident<\/p>\n
CIANJUR, West Java: At least seven people were killed and six
\nothers injured, including a two-year-old infant, in a single car
\naccident in Cikalong Kulon subdistrict, Cianjur regency, West
\nJava on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The seven fatalities were identified as Aep Seafudin, 63, Uka
\nbin Atang, 52, Bubun bin Mamad, 38, Cucu, 40, Umi, 40, Omad, 29,
\nand Ade.<\/p>\n
The two-year old baby, Ari Solihin, is the son of Cucu and is
\ncurrently undergoing medical treatment at a hospital in Cianjur,
\nalong with five other survivors who suffered serious injuries.<\/p>\n
All of the victims were passengers of a pick-up van that was
\ndriving them from Jonggol in Bogor to Cikalong.<\/p>\n
Witnesses said that the van was speeding before it hit a
\ncoconut tree on the side of the road.<\/p>\n
It was not clear why the van veered off the road. However,
\nCianjur Police traffic unit chief Adj. Comr. Satrya explained
\nthat the accident was purely due to human error. -- Antara<\/p>",
