        "content": "<p>Seven die in diarrhea outbreak<\/p>\n<p>PADANG, West Sumatra: Seven people have died and dozens<br>\nhospitalized in an outbreak of diarrhea in seven villages in the<br>\nAgam regency.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the provincial health office, Firdaus Baharuddin, said<br>\non Monday that the epidemic began on June 5.<\/p>\n<p>Several villagers sought medical treatment at their local<br>\ncommunity health centers. \"But later the health centers could not<br>\naccommodate the patients,\" Baharuddin said.<\/p>\n<p>Antara reported yesterday that the Agam regency administration<br>\nhas set up five health posts for first aid treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Patients from the worst-hit village of Puncak Lawang have to<br>\ntravel to the Ahmad Mukhtar general hospital in Bukittinggi, 25<br>\nkilometers away, for treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Firdaus pointed to the people's lack of cleanliness as the<br>\nmain cause of the epidemic.
