Wuhu, Kompas.com \u2013 iCar Indonesia\u2019s Product Planning Manager, Tommy\nHermansyah, has revealed that the announcement of the price for the\ncompany\u2019s first model in the country, the V23, is scheduled for next\nmonth.<\/p>\n
Although he could not yet disclose the price range, he assured that\nthe boxy-styled electric SUV will arrive with an attractive and\ncompetitive price in its segment.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are still awaiting several factors, such as taxes and others. So\nthe price has not been decided yet, even internally. However, iCar\nIndonesia is committed to providing the best offer because the V23 will\nbe the base model,\u201d said Tommy in Wuhu, China, on Tuesday\n(28\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n
Tommy also confirmed that the price launch will take place soon,\ntargeting the end of May 2026.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur estimate is end of May. There will be a special event for that,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n
For the Indonesian market, all units to be marketed will be assembled\nlocally through manufacturing facilities owned by Chery Group\u2019s\npartners, namely PT Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM) and Inchcape in\nWanaherang, Bogor.<\/p>\n
This step is targeted to achieve a domestic content level (TKDN) of\nup to 40%.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll units will be assembled locally, both at Handal and Inchcape. We\nwill adjust to the available production capacity,\u201d Tommy explained.<\/p>\n
As the debut model, the V23 is designed to combine off-road\ncapabilities with daily usability comfort.<\/p>\n
This is reflected in its proportional dimensions, with a length of\n4,220 mm, width of 1,915 mm, height of 1,845 mm, and a wheelbase of\n2,735 mm to support stability.<\/p>\n
In terms of design, the V23 features a classic boxy silhouette with\nround retro-style front headlights combined with up to 15 Advanced\nDriver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features.<\/p>\n
The side and rear sections are reinforced with a cage-style body\nstructure using 70% high-strength steel.<\/p>\n
Modern touches remain present through LED lights and sharp body\nlines, creating a blend of classic SUV character and contemporary\ntechnology.<\/p>\n
In terms of performance, the iCar V23 i-WD is equipped with an\nelectric motor delivering 155 kW (equivalent to 211 PS) with 292 Nm of\ntorque.
