        "content": "<p>Positive responses have been voiced by various countries around the\nworld to the two-week ceasefire agreement between the United States (US)\nand Iran, after a war that has spread across the Middle East has raged\nfor more than six weeks.<\/p>\n<p>The United Nations (UN), in its response as reported by AFP on\nWednesday (8\/4\/2026), hopes that all parties will comply with the\nceasefire to achieve lasting peace.<\/p>\n<p>Both the US and Iran have stated that they have agreed to the\ntwo-week ceasefire, and both claim victory in the war. The two countries\nwill hold further negotiations to discuss the finalisation of the\nceasefire, scheduled to take place in Pakistan on Friday (10\/4)\nupcoming.<\/p>\n<p>Various countries have reacted to the long-awaited ceasefire, with\nmost giving a warm welcome.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pakistan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As the mediator of the US-Iran conflict, Pakistan has welcomed the\nceasefire.
