        "content": "<p>Serang Police have sent 64 water tankers to assist residents in\ndrought-affected areas. A total of 21 villages in six districts are the\ntarget locations for the water aid distribution.<\/p>\n<p>The water aid dispatch was launched by Banten Police Chief Inspector\nGeneral Hengki at Serang Police Headquarters, Banten, on Thursday\n(6\/8\/2026). The launch was attended by Banten Deputy Governor Dimyati\nNatakusumah and Serang Police Chief AKBP Andri Kurniawan.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 502,000 litres of clean water was transported using 60\ntanker trucks and four water cannon vehicles belonging to the Indonesian\nNational Police.<\/p>\n<p>Hengki said the distribution of clean water is a form of the police\u2019s\nconcern for communities experiencing water supply difficulties.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe police are not only present to maintain public security and\norder, but also strive to provide solutions to community needs, one of\nwhich is through the distribution of clean water aid for residents\naffected by drought,\u201d Hengki said.<\/p>\n<p>Hengki explained that the public can also submit requests for clean\nwater assistance through the 110 call centre service. The service can be\naccessed free of charge 24 hours a day to receive reports and requests\nfor assistance from residents in need.<\/p>\n<p>Serang Police Chief AKBP Andri Kurniawan explained that the 502,000\nlitres of clean water aid was distributed to 21 villages in the\ndistricts of Carenang, Binuang, Tanara, Tirtayasa, Pontang, and\nPetir.<\/p>\n<p>The police chief expressed hope that the clean water aid would meet\nresidents\u2019 needs until water availability returns to normal. He also\nassured that Serang Police would continue to monitor areas experiencing\nclean water shortages during the dry season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough this social service activity, Serang Police together with\nBanten Regional Police demonstrate their commitment to remaining present\nin the community, providing humanitarian services by helping to meet the\nbasic needs of residents affected by drought,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
