Sentul will soon have world-class hospital<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): An Indonesia-Singapore joint venture company,
\nGleneagles Hospital Corporation, will build an international-
\nstandard hospital with a total investment of Rp 60 billion
\n(approximately US$28 million) in the plush Royal Sentul Highlands
\nhousing complex.<\/p>\n
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the project was
\nsigned here at a ceremony by Bambang Trihatmodjo and James T.
\nRiady, respectively chief commissioner and president of the
\nhousing developer, Gleneagles International Chairman Tony Tan, as
\nwell as Johannes Oentoro and Ronnie Tan from Gleneagles Hospital
\nCorporation.<\/p>\n
The share composition for the hospital is as follows:
\nGleneagles Hospital Corporation, 60 percent, and Royal Sentul
\nHighlands, 40 percent.<\/p>\n
Earlier this week the housing developer held a ground breaking
\nceremony, which marked the start of the construction of a 450-
\nroom five-star hotel. The housing complex lies in a sprawling
\n2,000-hectare plot of land in Sentul, a scenic area around 30
\nkilometers south of Jakarta.<\/p>\n
\"The development of the hospital is expected to reduce the
\nnumber of Indonesians going abroad for medical treatment,\"
\nBambang said.<\/p>\n
\"The (feasibility) study is slated to be completed within six
\nmonths,\" said Tong Padilla, an executive of Royal Sentul
\nHighlands.<\/p>\n
