Sentul preparing for A1 Grand Prix<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: The Sentul international circuit in West Java is
\npreparing to host an A1 Grand Prix stop from Jan. 13 to Jan. 15,
\nwith organizers expecting about 50,000 spectators in total.<\/p>\n
The vice president of A1 Grand Prix Indonesia, Basuki Wijaya,
\nsaid in a press release on Friday that the event, in which
\nIndonesia will be represented by Ananda Mikola, would help boost
\nthe image of the country.<\/p>\n
\"Unlike in F1, in A1 Grand Prix the name of the country is
\nprioritized, and this will help in Indonesia's bid to raise its
\nimage in an international forum,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Indonesia will be the seventh stop in the 12-leg A1 Grand
\nPrix, after England, Germany, Portugal, Australia, Malaysia and
\nDubai. The five races to follow will be in South Africa, Brazil,
\nMexico, the United States and Shanghai.<\/p>\n
Sentul circuit director Rio Sarwono said the track had been
\nrenovated in the last three months to meet the standards of the
\nA1.<\/p>\n
\"The renovation is almost finished. It is 90 percent done,\" he
