Seminar to discuss pharmacy<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Government officials and a prominent economist
\nwill discuss the impact of trade liberalization on Indonesia's
\npharmaceutical industry in a seminar here on May 30, an executive
\nsaid yesterday<\/p>\n
A deputy chairman of the Indonesian Association of
\nPharmaceuticals Companies, J.R.Kosasih, said the seminar, which
\nwill be opened by Minister of Health Sujudi, will feature
\nDirector General of Food and Drug Supervision Wisnu Katim and a
\ndeputy to the cabinet secretary, Bambang Kesowo, as speakers.
\nThey will discuss various government policies and Indonesia's
\nlegal preparations for trade liberalization.<\/p>\n
Hadi Soesastro, executive director of the Centre for Strategic
\nand International Studies (CSIS), will discuss the challenges and
\nopportunities offered by trade liberalization for the development
\nof Indonesia's pharmaceutical industry, while a director of PT
\nTempo Scan Pacific, J.R. Kosasih, will analyze the industry's
\ncapability to adapt itself to trade liberalization. (32)<\/p>",
