        "content": "<p>Seminar to discuss export opportunities<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Economist Dorodjatun Kuntjoro-Jakti and a number<br>\nof foreign marketing consultants will discuss macroeconomics and<br>\noverseas marketing opportunities at a three-day seminar which<br>\nbegins here tomorrow, the organizer said.<\/p>\n<p>The National Agency for Export Development said in a statement<br>\nyesterday that Minister of Industry and Trade Tunky Ariwibowo is<br>\nexpected to open the seminar, called The 1996 Export Forum, at<br>\nthe Jakarta Fairgrounds in Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>The statement said the foreign consultants scheduled to<br>\naddress the meeting include Bruce Aitken and Paula L. of the<br>\nUnited States, John Johnson of Belgium, Yoshio Nakamura of Japan,<br>\nRaymond Yip of Hong Kong and Davis Himbara of South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The agenda of the meeting, with the theme &quot;Stepping up the<br>\nCompetitive Power of Indonesian Non-oil Exports in Facing the<br>\nGlobal Market&quot;, will comprise a plenary session on the first day,<br>\nsessions on markets and products on the second day and individual<br>\nconsultation sessions on the final day.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesian ambassadors, trade attaches and chiefs of<br>\nIndonesian Trade Promotion Centers will also address the seminar<br>\nto discuss marketing opportunities in the European Union, the<br>\nUnited States, Japan, Hong Kong, Latin American countries and<br>\nSouth Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The discussions will be supported by market research on 24<br>\nproducts in 10 countries. The products include preserved foods,<br>\ngarments, shoes, leather products, furniture, jewelry, toys,<br>\nbatteries, automotive and machinery components, as well as audio-<br>\nvideo products.
