Seminar on hotel, restaurant<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant
\nAssociation's Jakarta chapter will hold its quadrennial general
\nassembly and a seminar on "strategies to improve services in the
\nfree trade era" next Monday.<\/p>\n
Chairman Arman R. Iskandar said here yesterday the seminar
\nwould be at the Gran Melia hotel. Speakers will include Minister
\nof Administrative Reforms T.B. Silalahi, Dusit Mangga Dua hotel's
\ngeneral manager Christopher L. Green and restaurateur Emma S.
\nWirakusumah.<\/p>\n
He said Indonesia had originally had a competitive edge in the
\nhospitality industry.<\/p>\n
"But we have to improve our skills and general abilities in
\nserving people by mastering more foreign languages. We also have
\nto learn how to provide and maintain cleanliness," he said.<\/p>\n
Executive H.R.S. Widodo said hotel and restaurant owners will
\nalso call on the government to make better regulations. (icn)<\/p>",
