Seminar on agri-business planned<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A seminar and exhibition on agriculture and
\nagribusiness advanced technology, with a special focus on
\npotatoes and poultry, will be held on June 5 to June 9 to promote
\nIndonesian-Dutch economic cooperation.<\/p>\n
The Indonesia-Netherlands Association announced yesterday that
\na business delegation, lead by a former Dutch minister of
\nagriculture, Piet Bukman, will arrive in Jakarta soon, to
\nparticipate in the seminar and exhibition, to be called Holland
\nAgro 1995.<\/p>\n
The delegation members are representatives of companies
\nspecializing in the production of animal feed, veterinary
\nmedicines and feed additives, slaughtering equipment, cooling and
\nair-treatment equipment and storage facilities, as well as
\nproviding finance and consulting services, it said.<\/p>\n
It said the seminar, organized by the association, will
\npresent, on June 5, Indonesian and Dutch speakers to elaborate
\nvarious aspects of potato and poultry production and processing.
\nState Minister of Food Ibrahim Hasan will deliver his keynote
\nspeech at the meeting.<\/p>\n
The seminar will be followed by business meetings from June 7
\nto June 9, to explore the possibilities of economic cooperation
\nbetween Indonesian and Dutch companies.<\/p>\n
The exhibition will be opened by Minister of Agriculture
\nSjarifudin Baharsjah in a ceremony attended by Netherlands
\nAmbassador Paul R. Brouwer. It will be participated in by 33
\nDutch companies and attended by executives of about 700
