        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-owned enterprise PT Semen Indonesia\n(Persero) Tbk (SIG), through its subsidiary PT Semen Indonesia\nInternational (SII), has conducted its maiden export of 45,000 metric\ntonnes (MT) of clinker to Mauritania in northwest Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Company Secretary of SIG, Vita Mahreyni, in a statement received in\nJakarta on Saturday, said that in addition to carrying out\ntransformations in domestic market management, Semen Indonesia is also\ncontinuously maximising regional market potential.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe African continent, which has high infrastructure growth\nprospects and meets international standards, aligns with SIG\u2019s optimism\nto continue enhancing competitiveness in the global market,\u201d Vita\nstated.<\/p>\n<p>The maiden export of 45,000 MT of clinker to Mauritania was carried\nout through SIG\u2019s dedicated port at the Tuban Plant in East Java.<\/p>\n<p>The shipment represents the first phase of a total 90,000 MT to be\nexported to Mauritania in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Vita assessed Mauritania as a strategic and potential market due to\nits high demand for building materials to support infrastructure\nprojects, yet it faces limitations in domestic clinker production\ncapacity.<\/p>\n<p>She explained that SIG\u2019s expansion into Mauritania reflects the\ncompany\u2019s commitment to sustaining growth that contributes to its sales\nperformance.<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, SIG recorded regional sales of 7.95 million tonnes, an\nincrease of 14.3% year-on-year compared to 6.96 million tonnes in the\nsame period the previous year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe company will continue to expand its export network to other\npotential regions.
