The Semarang Night Carnival (SNC) has long been known as an annual\nevent featuring a spectacular costume parade that highlights local\nwisdom with a modern touch.<\/p>\n
Semarang (ANTARA) - The number of international participants for the\nSemarang Night Carnival (SNC) 2026 continues to increase to 28 countries\nfrom the previous data of 15 countries.<\/p>\n
Semarang Mayor Agustina Wilujeng Pramestuti in Semarang on Friday\nsaid that the presence of participants from 28 countries in SNC 2026\nbecomes an important momentum to strengthen cultural diplomacy, while\nexpanding international networks.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want SNC not only to be a spectacle, but also a space for global\ncollaboration that drives the local economy, empowers MSME actors, and\nincreases tourist visits to the City of Semarang,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The 28 countries include, among others, Cambodia, Vietnam, India,\nEngland, France, the Netherlands, Japan, to representatives from Africa\nsuch as Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Libya.<\/p>\n
This determination is an acknowledgement of the quality of the\norganisation as well as the attractiveness of SNC as a flagship event\ncapable of driving the tourism and creative economy sectors.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe inclusion of SNC in the Kalender Karisma Event Nusantara and the\nincreasing international participation is proof that Semarang is\nincreasingly trusted as a host for world-class events,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is not only a pride, but also a responsibility to continue\ndelivering quality and impactful organisation,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
With support from its status as part of KEN, the organisation of SNC\n2026 is expected to be even more quality, professional, and have a\ndirect impact on increasing tourist visits.<\/p>\n
She is also optimistic that the increase in the number of\ninternational participants will provide multiplier effects, from hotel\noccupancy, MSME movements, to city promotion on the global stage.<\/p>\n
The parade, which carries the theme \u201cMiracle of Recycle\u201d, will be\nheld on Saturday (2\/5) tomorrow, with the route starting from Semarang\nCity Hall on Jalan Pemuda at 18.30 WIB.<\/p>\n
The procession will then pass through the Tugu Muda Monument and\nJalan Pandanaran until reaching the finish line at Pancasila Field,\nSimpang Lima.<\/p>\n
