Ismi Ulfaida (16), a student from Sekolah Rakyat in Polewali Mandar,\nwas part of the 2026 National Paskibraka tasked with lowering the red\nand white flag this afternoon at the State Palace in Jakarta. Ismi was\neven entrusted with the role of reserve baki carrier.<\/p>\n
Dressed in her Paskibraka uniform, Ismi and her colleagues tasked\nwith the flag-lowering appeared confident. This was the moment she had\nbeen waiting for after undergoing lengthy training.<\/p>\n
This afternoon, Ismi and her colleagues\u2019 performance went smoothly\neven though this was her first time serving as Paskibraka.<\/p>\n
Ismi\u2019s journey to becoming a national Paskibraka member was\ninseparable from the presence of Sekolah Rakyat. At Sekolah Rakyat\nTerintegrasi 22 Polewali Mandar, in addition to studying, she also first\nlearned and deepened her marching skills through the Pramuka\nextracurricular activity until she finally took part in the Paskibraka\nselection and passed to the national level.<\/p>\n
This opportunity did not make Ismi arrogant. She invited all children\nto never give up and to reach for their dreams.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo my friends out there, keep your spirits up. Don\u2019t despair, don\u2019t\ngive up easily,\u201d said Ismi in a written statement on Monday\n(17\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
Ismi\u2019s journey can serve as an inspiration for other Sekolah Rakyat\nstudents. She is proof that Sekolah Rakyat can compete with other\nschools, even at the national level.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus\nIpul), who attended the flag-lowering ceremony in commemoration of the\n81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, admitted he was proud of\nIsmi\u2019s achievements.<\/p>\n
