        "content": "<p>The atmosphere of the 81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence\ncommemoration at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, was made even more festive\nwith the performance of the Sekolah Rakyat Orchestra Choir.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 100 Sekolah Rakyat students from various regions in\nIndonesia had the special opportunity to attend and be part of the\nindependence celebration at Merdeka Palace. They performed the song\n\u2018Hari Merdeka\u2019 together with the Gita Bahana Nusantara National\nChoir.<\/p>\n<p>The students appeared enthusiastic and full of joy as they sang the\nindependence songs. Waving small Red and White flags, they performed\nneatly dressed in Sekolah Rakyat safari uniforms complete with berets\nand school identity badges.<\/p>\n<p>Of the 100 students who performed, seven were high-achieving Sekolah\nRakyat students who had recorded achievements at the national level.\nThey were Akbar Farrel Areva from SRMA 13 Bekasi, West Java; Ajeng Irma\nAzil Liyah from SRMA 7 Palembang, South Sumatra; Agustina Ramadani from\nSRMA Samarinda, East Kalimantan; Zahira Al Zahra from SRMP 18 West\nLombok, West Nusa Tenggara; Salwa Dzakila Asmar and Fahrani Ramadhani\nfrom SRMA 26 Makassar, South Sulawesi; and Ribka Elisabeth Rumpampam\nfrom SRMA 29 Jayapura, Papua.<\/p>\n<p>The seven students had achievements in various fields. Akbar won a\ngold medal at the OSSN National Olympiad in Mathematics. Ajeng won a\ngold medal at the National Level Nusantara Science Competency (LKN).\nAgustina won a silver medal at the National Level Scientific Writing\nCompetition.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Zahira won a gold medal in the martial arts branch at the\nnational level in the 2026 Ariska Championship (LAC). Salwa and Fahrani\neach won gold medals at the 15th Indonesian National Olympiad in Biology\nand Mathematics respectively. Ribka won third place in the choir at the\nFestival Senandung Anak Bangsa.<\/p>\n<p>The performance at Merdeka Palace was prepared through a gradual\ntraining process. The Sekolah Rakyat student representatives had been\ntraining during August in their respective regions.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, integrated training in Jakarta was conducted twice to\nstrengthen vocal blend, harmony, and cohesion before performing at the\n81st Independence Day ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>One of the students who performed, Raisya Putri Ahmad from SRT 4 DKI\nJakarta, admitted she was very happy to have the opportunity to perform\nat Merdeka Palace.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHappy, joyful, and very excited because when else could I come\nhere,\u201d said Raisya, in a written statement on Monday (17\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>According to Raisya, she and the other students underwent intensive\ntraining for about two weeks and participated in two to three dress\nrehearsals at the location.<\/p>\n<p>The opportunity to perform before President Prabowo Subianto was also\na very valuable experience. Raisya admitted she felt more confident\nbecause she could demonstrate abilities that had not been widely known\nuntil now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHere I can perform in front of everyone with confidence. And I can\nshow my talent that has been hidden all this time,\u201d said Raisya.<\/p>\n<p>Raisya also expressed appreciation to President Prabowo Subianto for\nthe existence of Sekolah Rakyat, which she said had provided space for\nchildren to rebuild their aspirations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr Prabowo Subianto, thank you for creating Sekolah Rakyat which has\nenabled us to rise again and start dreaming again,\u201d said Raisya.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, another student, Ridho Rudiyansyah from SRT 4 DKI Jakarta,\nadmitted he was happy because the performance at Merdeka Palace was his\nfirst experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVery happy, because it\u2019s the first time,\u201d said Ridho.<\/p>\n<p>For the students, the opportunity to perform in the 81st Anniversary\nof Indonesian Independence commemoration was not merely about being part\nof a show. The moment became a valuable experience for building\nself-confidence, pride, and love for the homeland.<\/p>\n<p>With their voices blending with the Gita Bahana Nusantara National\nChoir and small Red and White flags in their hands, the Sekolah Rakyat\nstudents became part of the independence celebration while demonstrating\nthat children from various regions have the opportunity to grow,\nachieve, and perform on the national stage.<\/p>",
