Suprijadi was all smiles as<br>\npassengers arrived on Monday afternoon at Senen railway station,<br>\nCentral Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We haven&apos;t received any crime reports at this station since<br>\nthe first day of Idul Fitri. I am so relieved that nothing<br>\nhappened,&quot; he told The Jakarta Post, while observing passengers<br>\nalighting from a train.<\/p>\n<p>Several of his subordinates were seen gathering at a command<br>\npost, which was built for Idul Fitri monitoring, while others<br>\npatrolled the station.<\/p>\n<p>Suprijadi said that, despite the peaceful condition, he would<br>\nnot allow his subordinates to drop their guard.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We must be on the look out for thieves and pickpockets, but<br>\nalso for anything suspicious in case of a terror attack. We don&apos;t<br>\nwant to take a risk at this time,&quot; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Suprijadi said around 30 police officers, including several<br>\npersonnel from the bomb squad, had been assigned to the station<br>\ndaily.<\/p>\n<p>He said that every morning they searched the station for<br>\nexplosives, while every evening they conducted random checks on<br>\npassengers.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the uneventful holiday, city police are maintaining<br>\ntight security at public places in the capital, including bus<br>\nterminals, railway stations, the airport and seaport.<\/p>\n<p>Many police officers were also seen at Kota railway station in<br>\nWest Jakarta, Gambir railway station in Central Jakarta and Pulo<br>\nGadung bus terminal in East Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We thank God that nothing has happened so far. We will<br>\ncontinue to guard these places until one week after Idul Fitri.<br>\nAfter that, we will evaluate the situation,&quot; Jakarta Police<br>\nspokesman Sr. Comr. I Ketut Untung Yoga Ana told the Post.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Jakarta Police said they had deployed thousands<br>\nof officers to several bus and railway stations, Soekarno-Hatta<br>\nInternational Airport and Tanjung Priok port to monitor post-<br>\nholiday arrivals.<\/p>\n<p>They said they would conduct random checks of passengers&apos;<br>\nluggage to look for guns, sharp weapons or bomb materials.<\/p>\n<p>Ketut said the police remained on full alert after the Oct. 1<br>\nsuicide bomb attacks on two cafes and a restaurant in Jimbaran<br>\nand Kuta in Bali, which killed 23 people and injured more than<br>\n130 others.<\/p>\n<p>City police had readied around 17,000 personnel to secure the<br>\ncity, some 13,000 of whom are deployed to secure the flow of<br>\npeople entering the city.<\/p>\n<p>They also stepped up security in certain places after<br>\nDetachment 88, the police&apos;s special antiterror squad, said there<br>\nwas a high possibility of bomb attacks during Idul Fitri.<\/p>",
