Security officer killed<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A man was stabbed to death while trying to
\nprevent a robbery in Sunter, North Jakarta yesterday, police
\nreported.<\/p>\n
The Tanjung Priok police precinct reported that Muhamad
\nMansur, 42, a security officer at the sub-district administration
\nwas stabbed in the left side of his belly by one of his three
\nattackers.<\/p>\n
According to Ramli, one of his colleagues, Mansur was trying
\nto catch the robbers who were trying to escape after failing to
\nrob the Sunter Agung neighborhood pharmacy at dawn yesterday.<\/p>\n
\"Mansur woke up hearing a shout coming from the pharmacy,\"
\nRamli said adding that the shout came from one of the pharmacy's
\nsecurity guards.<\/p>\n
The robbers were running away empty handed when they noticed
\nthat someone was coming, Ramli said.<\/p>\n
Two of the robbers were starting their car when Mansur
\narrived. However, realizing that one of their number was still
\noutside the car, one got out of the car and attacked Mansur with
\na knife.<\/p>\n
\"They escaped leaving Mansur bleeding,\" Ramli said.<\/p>\n
According to Ramli, Mansur died on the way to the Cipto
\nMangunkusumo central hospital. (01)<\/p>",
