It seems that there is<br>\nno place in this country that is free from terrorist attacks.<br>\nOnly two places have yet to be hit by a bomb blast: The State<br>\nPalace and the Indonesian Military headquarters in Cilangkap.<\/p>\n<p>Bomb blasts have hit a variety of places: The building of the<br>\nPeople&apos;s Consultative Assembly\/House of Representatives, the area<br>\nbehind the United Nations building, part of the headquarters of<br>\nthe Indonesian police, mosques, churches, Soekarno-Hatta<br>\ninternational airport and even the Jakarta Stock Exchange.<\/p>\n<p>Although these bomb blasts differ in intensity, their effect<br>\nis the same: A terror for all, rich and poor.<\/p>\n<p>So, why should people pay taxes and other levies if they<br>\ncannot feel secure, something which, according to our<br>\nconstitution, is the right of every Indonesian?<\/p>\n<p>RINDUWATI<br>\n  Jakarta<\/p>",
