        "content": "<p>Security issues top ASEAN talks<\/p>\n<p>MALAYSIA: Security issues dominated a meeting of Southeast Asian<br>\ntransport ministers in the wake of the terror attacks on the<br>\nUnited States, an official in Kuala Lumpur said on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting ended with the \"unanimous\" agreement of all<br>\ndelegates to boost transportation security measures in the<br>\nregion, Malaysian Transport Minister Ling Liong Sik said.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, in his opening speech, Ling said at no time in<br>\nhistory had modern transportation had been inflicted with \"such a<br>\nsevere setback and blow as that of the Sept. 11 events.<\/p>\n<p>Ling said there was a need to step up security procedures to<br>\nrestore confidence in flying among passengers, and also a need to<br>\nrationalize airline routes to cut costs. --AFP<\/p>",
