A security guard at SMAN 1 Sentolo, Kulon Progo, is alleged to have\ncommitted harassment by embracing a female student. Despite calls for\nhis immediate suspension, the individual is still working today.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is intervention happening now; after this went viral, I\nadvised the Headmaster to go there and deactivate him,\u201d said Johan\nWahyudi, the Vice Principal for Student Affairs, when met at SMAN 1\nSentolo, Kulon Progo, on Thursday (17\/09\/2026).<\/p>\n
\u201cOur proposal is for him to be deactivated starting today, and then\nperhaps sent home, before being transferred on the 1st. However, he is\nstill working today; he will be deactivated tomorrow,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n
Johan stated that the proposal to deactivate the guard had actually\nbeen made since the student first reported the incident. However, the\nthird-party security service provider failed to act promptly.<\/p>\n
\u201cI proposed an immediate transfer the very second I heard about it.\nBut the third party did not follow up immediately, for reasons unknown.\nIt seems they were considering completing the contract. In reality, I\nhave received a letter today stating he will be transferred on 1\nOctober,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Johan admitted that the security guard and the student are neighbours\nin the same hamlet and are acquainted with one another.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey are neighbours in the same hamlet. They know each other, and\nthe girl\u2019s parents know him too, as everyone in the hamlet knows each\nother,\u201d he emphasised.<\/p>\n
It is reported that the alleged harassment occurred in August 2026,\nafter school activities had concluded and the premises were quiet. The\nstudent had asked the guard for help retrieving a forgotten item.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe item was left behind. She asked the guard for help because it\nwas already 4:00 PM, school activities had ended, and everything had\nbeen closed. She asked the guard to help retrieve a charger or something\nsimilar that was left behind. It was retrieved,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
Johan stated that after retrieving the item, the guard allegedly\nattempted to embrace the student, but she managed to avoid him.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter exiting, because they are neighbours, he attempted to embrace\nthe girl, but she avoided him. He tried to embrace her, and she dodged,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n
Feeling uncomfortable, the student reported the incident to her\nteachers and the school counsellor, subsequently requesting CCTV\nfootage.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe did. Because there is CCTV, the student, feeling uncomfortable,\nreported to the counsellor, saying, \u2018Yesterday, that security guard\ntried to embrace me. Please check the CCTV for that time.\u2019 She requested\nthe footage from that hour,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
