        "content": "<p>Search of missing people doubted<\/p>\n<p>BREBES, Central Java (JP): One more body was unearthed on<br>\nSunday in the landslide-struck village of Windu Sakti in Salem<br>\ndistrict here, amid doubts as to the continuation of the search<br>\noperation.<\/p>\n<p>Rescue workers recovered the body of Sunarto, 30, two meters<br>\nbeneath the surface to bring the confirmed death toll to 11 since<br>\nthe landslide crushed the village on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n<p>Visiting Governor Mardiyanto said if the team was pessimistic<br>\nabout finding the remaining 25 missing people, they might call<br>\noff the search.<\/p>\n<p>\"But if you believe that there are hopes or signs you might<br>\nfind them, please continue,\" he said on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Local police chief Lt. Col. Cornelis Hutagaol insisted that<br>\nthe operation would continue. He said more personnel had been<br>\ndeployed to join the search.<\/p>\n<p>Despite heavy rain and the remote location, local residents<br>\nand the rescue team went continued with their efforts.<\/p>\n<p>\"We hope to recover one or two more victims. We have also<br>\ncombed the riverbank,\" Brebes regent Tajuddin Nuraly told The<br>\nJakarta Post.<\/p>\n<p>Cornelis said that around 70 personnel were trying to reach<br>\nSalem district, with the access road to Bantarkawung village,<br>\nabout 12 kilometers north of Windu Sakti, as well as roads in<br>\nneighboring villages of Boja and Banjarharjo covered in mud.<\/p>\n<p>The operation was postponed early in the day due to difficult<br>\nterrain and inadequate equipment.<\/p>\n<p>\"Simple equipment, such as shovels, are not useful to dig mud<br>\nwhich has a depth of 25 meters,\" a member of the rescue team<br>\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>He said heavy equipment could not be used either because the<br>\naccess road to the location was damaged.<\/p>\n<p>Mardiyanto, who stayed overnight in a refugee camp in<br>\nTembongraja village, donated Rp 110 million in cash to the<br>\nrefugees to reconstruct residents' houses and the road to Windu<br>\nSari.
