        "content": "<p>Southeast Asia Blockchain Week 2026 (SEABW 2026), co-organised by\nglobal Web3 venture capital firm Hashed (CEO Simon Seojoon Kim) and\nShardLab (CEO Hojin Kim), concluded after two days at ICONSIAM Hall in\nBangkok. The event brought together regulators from Thailand and\nIndonesia, leaders from SCbx, Bitkub, and Ascend Bit, and global firms\nincluding Circle, Tether, and Solana Foundation \u2014 marking Southeast\nAsia\u2019s transition from experimentation to institutional adoption of\ndigital assets.<\/p>\n<p>The programme was structured around five key themes: Regulatory\nFrontier; Institutional Verticalization and the Great Convergence; RWA\n2.0 and the Industrialization of Tokenisation; Agentic Economy; and Base\nLayer Imperative. This structure positioned Southeast Asia not as a\nperipheral emerging market but as a region where global Web3 adoption is\nbeing actively tested and implemented.<\/p>\n<p>Policy sessions were led by Butree Vangsirirungruang, Director of the\nDigital Asset Policy Department at SEC Thailand; the Thailand Digital\nAsset Association (TDA); and Muhammad Neil El Himam, Deputy for Creative\nEconomy and Technology at Indonesia\u2019s Ministry of Creative Economy\n(EKRAF). The presence of Southeast Asia\u2019s two largest markets on one\nstage was a key achievement of the event.<\/p>\n<p>From Thailand\u2019s industry, Kaweewut Temphuwapat (CIO, SCbx \/ CEO, SCB\n10X), Atthakrit Chimplapibul (co-founder Bitkub), and Apinand Dabpetch\n(MD, Ascend Bit \u2014 a TrueMoney blockchain subsidiary under CP Group)\ndiscussed Thailand\u2019s digital financial infrastructure transformation.\nThey joined Circle VP Strategy and Public Policy Asia Pacific David\nKatz, Tether regional head Ploy Boonyavee, Eddy Christian Ng, along with\nStraitsX, Ripple, BitGo, Anchorage Digital, Canton, Avalanche, Solana\nFoundation, Xapo Bank, Token X, and AWS \u2014 covering topics such as\ncustody, payments, tokenisation, and AI.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the main stage, SEABW 2026 hosted four closed roundtables on\nRWA tokenisation and settlement, bringing tokenised products to market,\ninstitutional use of AI and Web3, and stablecoin settlement operations.\nThe event also featured a unique format with K-pop group tripleS\noperated by Modhaus, where NFT holders could vote on group decisions via\non-chain fan governance \u2014 a real-world example of digital culture and\nWeb3 convergence in Asia.<\/p>\n<p>SEABW 2026 also hosted the SEABW AI Hackathon, a program focused on\nbuilders with the theme \u201cSolve a real-world problem around you with AI\u201d.\n92 teams from Southeast Asia and other regions competing, with the grand\nprize awarded to BEBR Bridge for their project RWANDA. RWANDA is an\nAI-based assessment system that analyses RWA audit reports and assigns\ntrustworthiness ratings for each token, helping retail investors early\nidentify de-pegging risks.<\/p>\n<p>Sponsorship support encompassed the entire institutional ecosystem.\nLocal support came from SCbx, SCB 10X, and InnovestX, alongside Bitkub\nand Bitazza Thailand exchanges and Token X tokenisation platform.
