        "content": "<p>School up in arms about regiment<\/p>\n<p>SEMARANG, Central Java: About 500 students from Walisongo<br>\nState Academy for Islamic Studies (IAIN) rallied at the<br>\nprovincial legislature on Wednesday to demand the expulsion of<br>\nstudent paramilitary regiments (Menwa) from campuses.<\/p>\n<p>Group leader Sutarno said the students called on the<br>\ngovernment to revoke a ministerial decree on the establishment of<br>\nthe regiment. They complained that the paramilitary members<br>\ntended to behave violently on campus.<\/p>\n<p>\"On our campus, one student named Nur Huda has been harassed<br>\nby them without reason,\" Sunarto said.<\/p>\n<p>Sunarto insisted campuses should serve as a place for the<br>\nstudy of knowledge, not hostility.
